Welcome to the CSP! Welcome to the chapter web site for the Orange County chapter of the California Staffing Professionals (CSP). You are probably here for one of three reasons; 1) You are a member or an industry partner and you want to know when the next meeting will take place (typically 3rd Wednesday of the Month) or you are trying to locate someone within the chapter. 2) You are not yet a member or industry partner and you want to know more about the benefits of CSP to you or your business. Holiday Mixer Event I want to say Happy Holidays to all and invite you to join us at our Holiday Mixer Event. Come and toast the successes of 2009 or drown your sorrows. Whichever it is, please come and say hello. I also wanted to pass around a rumor that there may be something going on in twitter land regarding our chapter so do a little search and see if you can be a twitter winner. That's enough or I'll give away the secret. Hope to see you at the mixer.
Membership Survey - Keep an Eye out
November 13, 2009 As everyone is aware things are changing quickly in the world today and so is the staffing business. To meet these challenges your local OC CSP Board is asking the membership to tell us what they need in terms of our monthly meetings. Please look out for a survey coming from Dean Gavello as we will use it to plan our 2010 calendar. It should be coming your way early next week. November Brown Bag Lunch and Learn - The One minute Online Networker November 12, 2009 This month we are trying something new, a lunch and learn brown bag talk. Based on input from some members we are going to have this month's meeting as a bring your own lunch brown bag. The goal was two fold, reduce costs and while still providing top content. Now the speaker this months topic I'm calling the 'One minute online networker'. We have Todd Herschberg
Open Note from President Tom Oct 14, 2009 Tough Economomy? We are all in the same boat and sometimes it feels like all we are doing is bailing water. I want to let you know there is hope. For example, at the mixer 2 months ago, one member was telling me how they were able to turn around a sinking office. The point here is there are people in the same boat and there are answers. As a Chapter, we are trying to do what we can to make it a little easier. This month the board decided to move the meeting so we could drop the price to $20 for the meeting. This is a reduction of over 40% from a year ago. We have added a couple mixers per year at $10 for a drink and some great social interaction. The point is to get out with your peers and find out how we can help each other. Bottom line, things are tight. We understand. If at all possible, come to the Meetings and let's all get better together!
